Miss Kaitlyn Growing up

My sweet baby girl is almost 10 months old already! Time has gone so fast! I have been having so much fun taking pictures of her. Here are some from her sessions from 6 months to 9.5 months old. I have found I really need a helper when I do her pictures, she is so fast that I am going back and forth more then I am taking pictures.

8.5 Months blue coat I got for 25 cents and I really just wanted a picture of her with the hood up!

9 months and too quick for me to get many shots of her, I love her

eyelashes and capture them as often as I can!

Pink and Black chair used to be 70's orange and brown, I liked it before but never really used it so I gave it a face lift and hope to be able to use it more! Here she is 9.5 months old.

I had the pleasure of photographing their special day. The weather was perfect! Great mix of sun and big beautiful fluffy clouds. We started formals at Bulrush Golf Course in Rush City, MN.

The wedding party was all so fun!

This building is near the church and when I scoped it out I was so excited. I couldn't wait for the wedding day to use it!!

The wedding was at First Luthern Church in Harris MN.

Reception was at Wild Mountain in Taylor's Falls.

I celebrated my 6th wedding anniversary filming this amazing couple getting married. It was an amazing day. The love these two have for each other was very easy to feel and see. The wedding took place at Immaculate Conception Church of Granstburg WI.

The couple decided to have a first look so we could do pictures before the ceremony.

Studio Nine Portraits is excited to announce a partnership with Shoots for a Cure (formerly known as Think Pink Photography). Think Pink Photography was founded in October 2007 to support individuals and their families who have been touched by breast cancer. We are a charitable organization that serves two main purposes – celebrating life and supporting the cause. Recently, we changed our name and our support. We want to support ALL cancer patients, not just breast cancer.

Through our professional photographer network, we are helping cancer patients to celebrate life with charitable photography sessions. Individuals may choose to document their fight against the disease before or during treatment, or prefer to capture their victory by scheduling a session within 12 months after treatment is completed. Photographers world-wide are now available to donate time and talent to celebrate life and support the cause. There is no cost or obligation to the cancer patient. Clients participating in a Shoots for a Cure session will receive a complimentary photo session, as well as a set of 10 small prints from the session. They will also receive a discount on any additional portraits they wish to purchase, although there is absolutely no purchase required at any time.

To support the cause, we have partnered with The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. All funds generated through donations and various fundraising efforts are paid directly to The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation or donated to the American Cancer Society in our name. As a 3-time breast cancer survivor, Danielle Beverly and her husband Eric joined together to form a foundation dedicated to promoting education, increasing awareness, and providing support and resources for families who have been touched by breast cancer.

My sweet baby girl was born April 30th at 7:31 am, on her due date, she was was 8lbs 3 ounces, 21 inches long. I have done several little sessions with her and am not done yet.

This is the 3rd time have gotten to photograph these boys, the first Mr. K was still in his mommy's tummy. This little guy has the most amazing hair ever and both of these boys have amazing eyes. Looking forward to the next time I get to photograph these cuties!!!

Night Shooting Challenge

I was inspired by this challenge http://gizmodo.com/5737270/shooting-challenge-night-and-day, so tonight at about 8:15 I set up my tripod in the backyard when it was -8 degrees out and this is what I came up with. All images are SOOC (Straight out of Camera) they have only been resized for web and sharpened. I only changed settings and the camera stayed in the same spot the whole time. Not the most beautiful scene, but still pretty cool thing to try out. The only light is the moon and some ambient light coming from the windows on the house.
